Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Certification
Sponsored by Louisiana Recreation and Park Association (LRPA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), the Playground Safety Inspector Certification Course provides the most comprehensive and widely recognized training available on playground hazard identification and risk management.
Advanced reading and 15 hours of classroom instruction by nationally recognized playground safety experts will prepare you to sit for the Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Exam, offered on Friday, October 14. The course includes classroom instruction, resource materials developed especially for the course, required off-site visit on hazard identification and safety audit (Thursday). CEU Credit: Participants may obtain 1.5 credits for participating in the course.
Those who successfully pass the CPSI exam will be certified for three (3) years. Renewal of certification may be achieved through a re-examination process.

Other Requirements are as follows:
- Registration is limited so register early. We are limited to 65 (minimum of 25); Courses not reaching 25 registrants 30 days prior to the course start date are subject to cancellation.
- Absolutely no walk-ins allowed.
- Books and resource materials will not be sent until full payment is received.
- POs are not accepted as payment.
- Advanced reading prior to attending the school is strongly recommended.

Schedule:
Wednesday, October 12 – 8 am to 5 pm
Thursday, October 13 – 8 am to 5 pm (site visit)
Friday, October 14 (Exam) – 8:30 – 11:30 am
Lodging Information:
Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Our host hotel, located 3.5 miles and a 13 minute drive from the training facility is the Crowne Plaza Executive Center at 4728 Constitution Avenue. **Lunch and break snacks will be provided on the first two days. All other meals are on your own.
Pre-Registration by check
Pre-register by completing and returning the registration form, and fees, to LRPA by Monday, September 12. A confirmation email will be sent, and study materials will be mailed upon receipt of registration and payment.

Cancellations:
Cancellations of registrations must be submitted in writing to the Louisiana Recreation and Park Association and received by September 12 in order to receive a refund of the registration fee less $150 for manuals, plus a $50 service charge. Allow six (6) weeks after the course event to receive refund checks.
**The option to take the CPSI exam via computer-based testing is available through the NRPA website. To obtain additional information please visit www.nrpa.org/cpsi Please be advised if you register to take the examination with the course, you will not receive a refund to take your exam via computer-based testing at a later date. Please decide now if you would like to take the exam on Day 3 of the course or via a computer-based exam at a later date.
