Risk Management, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Louisiana Municipal Association. The organization became fully operational on January 1, 1987 and functions as the service agent for the Louisiana Municipal Association inter-local risk pools. The primary purpose of Risk Management, Inc. is to effectively market and administer the self-funded indemnity programs, which have been developed to serve the municipalities of Louisiana, and to assist in the development of new programs to meet the needs of municipal government

The Louisiana Municipal Advisory and Technical Services Bureau (LaMATS) mission is simple to bring economical and efficient services that assist the LMA membership with their day-to-day business a wholly owned subsidiary of the Louisiana Municipal Association. LaMATS offers two collection programs including the Insurance Premium Tax Collection Program and the Occupational License Tax Collection Program.

The Louisiana Municipal Gas Authority (LMGA) is a political subdivision created by the State Legislature in 1987. Funding for the LMGA’s activities is derived solely from fees paid by its members who control its activities. The LMGA was created for the purpose of developing, arranging, and promoting adequate, dependable, and economical supplies of natural gas for the public good.
